I have to argue with you, I cannot acknowledge that Simeon and Peter are at all like there father, Cabot is obsessed with work, it isnt the greed that matters to him it is the obsession with work that drives him. simeon and peter leave and seek there fortune wich is seemingly a very commonplace thing to do, and I can not hold it against them.

Eben’s actions on the other hand can not be justified, he is Cabot, Simeon and peter see it from the beginning, but is only in the end that Cabot will acknowledge it. his lust for the farm makes him the same as cabot.

I agree with you when you say, “Greed became their other half and they let it rule their lives. Their desires showed what they truly value in life.” Your absolutely correct. Everyone was out to better themself. NIce job working with your attribute.

“No one understands Blanche, and why she is the way that she is.” It is very clear that no one fully understands Blanche, but as for the reason behind that, is very clear. In her vent to Mitch she reveals and it is clear of how she is falling apart.

Wait, what’s your attribute? If you could mention that somewhere in the beginning of the essay, that’d probably be a little bit better for me. =P After all your hating on Blanche in class, I can see that you finally came to the conclusion that Blanche had to be justified! Indeed, she is a very complex character. I don’t even fully understand her and I’ve read about 3498230 posts about her. ahahhaha Nice job on your analysis though!

This is good stuff right here, the bridging of Prufrock and The Killers through one entry. I agree that he kind of just gives up and is pretty much committing suicide just like Prufrock. It different yet the same, the idea of killing yourself and letting others do the job when you know they are coming is a form of suicide I guess.

Good analysis of Blanche, Steph. You really broke down her character and experiences very well. The only thing that you could add is maybe a little more about how Blanche’s relationship with Stanley affected her and was ultimately the “straw that broke the camel’s back”. Nice job.

Nice work with the two diffrent works put together. I never would have thought of that before though. I think if you really tried you could dig deeper into this and add some length to this blog. It is good but it could be great.

I like how you say “no one understands Blanche” I haven’t seen that yet, but it’s absolutely true. She’s a very complex character, plus no one has experienced anything that she has. Can I see quotes though?

I concur with the other comments Steph you real thought every aspect out, and chose your words very precisely. You covered and broke down everything that made Blanche who she has become. The only thing is that I would have gone into Blanche’s relationship with Stanley. He was another reason for her being commited. Other then that one of the best I have seen so far.
